By Chairmen of University of Lagos Unions, including those of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, Dr. Dele Ashiru; the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities, Olusola Sowunmi; Non-Academic Staff Union, Kehinde Ajibade; NASU, College of Medicine, Idi-Araba, Tunde Aderibigbe; and SSANU College of Medicine, Idi- Araba, Michael Olofindinran, are now in session with the Special Visitation Panel.
They all entered the Council Chambers around 1.53pm.
As he was about entering into the council chambers, Ashiru reacted to the presence of Dr. Wale Babalakin in UNILAG today.
He said, “If he goes back to that office, we will exacerbate our congress decision. He, otherwise, came to the campus as Wale Babalakin, not as our Pro-Chancellor.
“This is because, in line with the directives of the Federal Government, he has been asked to recuse his position and it is gratifying that he can now be made to appear before the panel. It is, indeed, gratifying.”
The campus was peaceful all through as Babalakin made his presentations.
