Liverpool forward, Sadio Mane, became the first African to score in a UEFA Super Cup game.
Mane netted a brace against Chelsea in the 2019 edition, played at the Vodafone park, istanbul on Wednesday.
Earlier, the 27-year-old, joined Frederic kanoute in the revered ranks of Africans who have scored a goal in the Super Cup, following his second half equaliser.
Kanoute was the first African to score a goal in UEFA’S Super Cup, when Sevilla thrashed 3-0 Barcelona at Stade Louis II in Monaco.
Mane’s two goals also made himself the second-highest scoring Premier League player, After Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero.
