By The National Convener of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Crusade Organization (ABATCO) has described the online publication claiming that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu may kick start 2023 presidential campaign on October 1st as false and untrue.
The Group described the twisting of event slated for 1st of October, 2019 in Oshodi Isolo Local Government Area of Lagos as mischievous acts capable of heating up the polity in the nation.
The National Convener of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Crusade Organization (ABATCO), Comrade Ayeni Oluwaseun Samuel clarified in a statement in Lagos that the programme for the day is aimed at holding a public lecture to discuss on the struggle for True Federalism; Perspectives, Problems, and Prospects.
Ayeni, was of the opinion that the Independence Day Lecture would also be used to commemorate the celebration of the 59th anniversary of our beloved Nation.
He said, that Asiwaju Tinubu presidential ambition declaration was not part of the programme, the programme was put together by likeminds who believe and belong to the ideological school of thought of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The group is not been sponsored by any political associate or aides of Asiwaju Tinubu and we have no hidden agenda towards declaration for the 2023 presidential ambition by anyone.
Ayeni, noted that the group is not in anyway associated with Asiwaju BolaTinubu presidential ambition declaration and the Asiwaju Tinubu has not in anyway declare to run in 2023 for anything. “To clarify the issue, we are law abiding citizens, we would not do anything that contradict electoral law and the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria”. “The Constitution stipulates the time frame for declaration and campaigning, we wondered where the online publication gets the information from”. We just finished 2019 Elections, and 2023 is far, ahead, we want general public to jettison the rumours.
“We are friends and associates who come together to preach the ideology of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and to teach young generation of the need to follow the footsteps of Asiwaju Tinubu. In short, It is just to associate with him on ways of preaching political development, thereby deepen the dividends of democracy,Ayeni said.
Ayeni stressed that Asiwaju Tinubu is a political leader worthy of emulation in various aspects because he is a man of integrity, honest and straight forward man that believes in the democracy, good governance and enacipation of people from poverty.
“These are the ideologies we are trying to share with the people at the October first inagural meeting and independent day lecture for people to know the kind of person Asiwaju Tinubu is and practicing politics they way he does.” Ayeni clarifies.
Ayeni said the Independent Day lecture with the theme “Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Struggle for True Federalism;Perspectives,Problems and Prospects” will have, Comrade Wale Balogun, Dr. Fatai Abatan from Department of Political Science, LASU as Guest Speakers alongside others like Hon. Fuad Atanda-Lawal, Chairman Ikoyi Obalende LCDA, and Hon. Olujimi Lai Mohammed, Member, Lagos State House of Assembly as Keynote Speaker for the day..
