#ENDSARS: Governor Oyetola of Osun State Suspends Curfew
Governor Gboyega Oyetola of The State of Osun has suspended its 24-hour curfew earlier declared to forestall breakdown of law and order.
Oyetola on Tuesday imposed a 24-hour curfew on all parts of the State.
The state government, however, appealed to the protesting youths to suspend their protest and engage government in a dialogue.
It commended the residents and citizens of Osun for their show of understanding and cooperation in the last 48 hours of the curfew.
In a statement obtained by Newsrand on Friday signed by the Secretary to the State Government, (SSG), Wole Oyebamiji, read, “After reviewing the situation of the last 48 hours and following the inauguration of the State’s Judicial Panel of Inquiry on Police Brutality, the Governor, Gboyega Oyetola, hereby suspends the 24-hour curfew, effective from today, Friday, October 23, 2020 till further notice.
