Brow Skin Girl Vs Blow My Mind; Which Do You Have On Repeat??? (Review & Comments)

The past two weekends have been huge for Afrobeat(s) and music of African origin. The exposure of the indigenous Nigerian music genre Afrobeat(s) has been epic.

For the record Nigerian artistes, music producers had the majority of features from Africa on ‘The Lion King: The Gift‘ album by Beyoncé. The credits on the album includes the following Nigerians Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Burna Boy, Tekno, Yemi Alade, Mr Eazi, Seun Bankulli, P2J, NorthBoi and Chiwetel Ejiofor.

Out of the 27 tracks on the album, ‘Brown Skin Girl‘ has been a stand out track chopped off the LP. Nigerians have been exceptionally proud of Wizkid’s vocals on the album and it didn’t take long for the tune to become popular among music lovers.

Just when it seemed Davido was thrown into obscurity after the release of Beyoncé’s new album he plotted a resurgence with his new song ‘Blow My Mind‘ with Chris Brown. Like the pop superstar he is, OBO circled back into the conversations once again. So far Nigerians have shown massive love for the track.

Apparently, the scoreline is like Wizkid 1 – 1 Davido, as they seem at par with their latest international collaboration.

One noticeable truth about these two tracks is that the lyrics by the two Nigerian pop superstars had the quality to it. Wizkid left behind his vain repetition like ‘soco Soco soco’ or totori me three times ‘tor tor tor’. And Davido missed out on saying cheesy catch phrases he is known for like ‘cheee’, ‘sekpe!’.

While ‘Brown Skin Girl’ and ‘Blow My Mind’ are the buzzing tunes right now, which of them got you hitting the play button often?

Do you prefer ‘Brown Skin Girl’ over Blow My Mind or vice versa?

Spare a minute and share your thoughts in the comments.
